“I’m not holy enough”:

“I’m afraid I will fail”:

“I ’m too young:”

“I’m not talented enough”:

“I want to have a family”:

Go from your country and your family to a land that I will show you.

There is no on who has left house or family for the sake of the kingdom

who will not receive a hundredfold in this age and eternal life in the age to come.

 

 

“I want the good life”:

The man was shocked and went away grieving, for he had many possessions.

• 1 Corinthians 2: 9 (the true wisdom of God)

No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the human heart conceived, what God has prepared

for those who love him.

The kingdom of heaven is like…a treasure hidden in a field…a pearl of great value…

a net thrown into the sea..

• John 10:10 (Jesus gives us life)
I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

“I’m afraid of making a commitment”:

“I’m afraid of public speaking”:

• Exodus 4:10-17 (the call of Moses)

O my Lord, I have never been eloquent. And the LORD said to Moses:

“I will be with your mouth and teach you what you are to speak.”

• Jer 1:4-10 (the call of Jeremiah)

Jeremiah said: “I do not know how to speak.” Then the Lord touched his mouth and said:

“Now I have put my words in your mouth.”
