Our Ministries in Spain:
- Siador, Spain - Santuario de Nuestra Senora de La Salette (Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette):
- on of the pilgrimage groups from Sagovia met Fr. Como, M.S. when they visited on a pilgrimage. Their website describes (in Spanish) their beautiful experience of the message of Our Lady of La Salette: http://www.cobosdesegovia.com/La_Saleta.htm
Bro. Juan Magro Andres, M.S., a local La Salette vocation, has devoted his life to forming works of art on the La Salette Apparition; here are pictures of one of his bronze works he completed at his workshop near the Shrine. It is a central focus-point for the La Salette National Shrine in Attleboro, MA, USA: (below: entire statue, closeup of Weeping Mother)

- About Santiago de Compostela, Spain and St. James the Apostle:
Many Christians honor the Saints by making trips (or pigrimages) to the places where they are buried. Millions of people of the years have visited the city Santiago de Compostela in the north of Spain. They come to celebrate the feast of Saint James on the 25th of July to his burial-place.
San Santiago(St. James, the Apostle) is the patron of Spain, the one that it protects to the country from danger. According to the legend, at the same time that the body of St. James arrived at Santiago de Compostela in a boat, the horse and its rider fell into the ocean. Instead of suffocating they emerged from the sea covered with shells. People believe that St. James was resposible for this miracle.
Nowadays, people travel hundreds of miles on foot, bicycle or by horse to arrive at Santiago de Compostela. They dress in shells as a reminder of the wondrous miracle of long ago. They come to visit St. James' tomb and rub the neck of the statue to receive blessings from God.
